Education as Inheritance
Dr. Rod Paige was the son of a principal and a librarian. Education was not a policy position for him — it was his inheritance, his identity, and his covenant with the generations that came before and after him. The Rod Paige Scholarship exists to carry that inheritance forward — awarded each year to students of exceptional promise who have heard the same calling Dr. Paige answered.
“Education is the key that unlocks the door to opportunity — not just for individuals, but for our nation.”
— Dr. Rod Paige, 7th U.S. Secretary of Education
